Ashley Cook releases one of the best, traditional Australian Bush Ballad albums in many years. Ashley and his production team have collated and presented, a collection of outstanding songs. This is not surprising when the songwriter credits read like a who's who of bush ballad writers, Dixon, Aitchison, Knuth, Oliver, Day & Leigh.

The album leads with two great bush ballads, Mount Scoria and The Great Outback, followed by his hit singles, The Sydney Jillaroo and Stand Up For Slim, featuring legendary guitarist Lindsay Butler on their tribute to the late and great Slim Dusty. The listener is then taken on a journey of stories about country life, land and duty by this great storyteller, then finally closing with the most patriotic title track, For Country, the Flag & Me.

If you love Australian bush ballads or just great country story songs, this album is a must for your music collection.
